We are excited to invite you to a new and meaningful experience that will bring us back to our roots — Campfire Connection! Whether you grew up attending camp, sent your kids, or served as a camp counselor, this event is for YOU.

What is Campfire Connection?

This is a chance for our alumni community to reconnect, refresh, and relive the magic of camp in a relaxed and nostalgic setting. You’ll enjoy everything you love about camp — from the campfire songs, s’mores, crafts and games to the mindfulness and spiritual growth. This is also a great opportunity to bring someone you know and love to experience La Foret for the first time. All are welcome!

When?

This will be a new quarterly gathering starting April 25th, 2025. Campfire Connection will be primarily on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, but we will offer the option to come on Friday night for a campfire as well. Check-in begins at 6:30 PM on Friday, with the campfire starting at 7:30 PM.

It will look like this:

• Friday Evening:  Arrive and get settled in, enjoy casual activities, and kick off the weekend with name tags and introductions. The evening will culminate with a campfire, songs, and s’mores. You do not have to stay Friday night in order to be part of Saturday, and you can stay only Friday night if you prefer.

• Saturday: Start the day with breakfast and morning watch to center yourselves. Then, dive into a variety of camp activities, including crafts, games, and discussions. After lunch, you’ll have the chance to create a camp-style worship service together. The program concludes in the afternoon by 2:30 PM.

This is more than just a retreat; it’s an opportunity to rekindle the connections you made at camp and to create new memories with others who share that same deep love for the camp experience. It’s a weekend where everyone is welcome, no matter how long it's been since you last set foot on the grounds.

This event is an experiment — a chance to come together in a fun, low-stakes environment to rekindle the magic of camp and rediscover the deep connections that make us stronger. At this moment in time, we all need a reminder that we are not alone, and that community, joy, and connection can be the foundation for healing and growth.
