About
Use Markup Assist to import more than 20 different types of engineering-specific markup into your drawings for compatibility with a wide range of applications. You can import assembly points, dimensions, lines, symbols, text, and more from multiple file types. Use text search to quickly find the correct geometry in the imported file. For example, you can import assembly points and dimensions from assembly plans or CAD models of assemblies. (video: 2:30 min.)Available on the new AutoCAD Enterprise and the Windows desktop software only.Revised Layers:Create and manage over 100 revised layer groups that contain special color, line, and labeling styles and shapes. These layer groups are ideal for marking and labeling jobs such as parts lists, serial numbers, price lists, and title blocks. (video: 4:10 min.)Add or remove revised layer groups from a project with a single click. Quickly see if any revision changes have been made to a project with a new Layers dialog. (video: 1:06 min.)Edit a revised layer group with the new Layers dialog and apply formatting to text and labels with the Properties dialog. (video: 1:06 min.)“X” Snap to Grid:“X” snapping is like “C” snapping but it snaps to horizontal and vertical grid lines. Designations such as labels, dimensions, and symbols snap to grid lines to help create more accurate drawings. You can create 1-point, 2-point, or 4-point snap, and snap to a single or multiple columns, rows, and pages. (video: 1:10 min.)Create and modify “X” snaps with the Snap Markers tool. For example, you can specify a grid line for a 1-point snap, then specify a label or dimensions and snap to that grid line for a 2-point snap. You can create a 2-point snap in three clicks and modify a 1-point snap in two clicks. (video: 1:10 min.)Use an “X” snap to snap dimensions or to snap a text label to a location.
