Yucca & Tannenbaum

Each sleeps 14

Yucca and Tannenbaum cabins each have a wood-burning fireplace, a large common area with hardwood floors, four carpeted bedrooms, and two bathrooms. They are located on the lower side of the central meadow, and Tannenbaum is handicap accessible.

          Two rooms with two sets of bunks
          Two rooms with one set of bunks and one twin

Sage & Prickly Pear

Each sleeps 8

The coziest of the cabins at La Foret, Prickly Pear and Sage have wood-burning fireplaces and hardwood floors in their common areas, two bathrooms, and four carpeted bedrooms.

Willow

Sleeps 18

Willow has a wood-burning stove, a large common area with hardwood floors, two bathrooms and a separate toilet, and six carpeted bedrooms. Willow is located on the lower side of the central meadow next to Inglis Hall.

          Six bedrooms with one bunk bed and one single in each

Aspen & Columbine

Each sleeps 16

Aspen and Columbine cabins are located on the upper road above the central meadow. Each has a large central area with a wood-burning fireplace and hardwood floors, four carpeted bedrooms, and two bathrooms.

Indian Paintbrush

Sleeps 18

One of the largest of La Foret's cabins, Indian Paintbrush has a wood-burning fireplace, a large carpeted common area, six carpeted bedrooms, a full kitchen with a separate dining room, and two bathrooms with separate toilet, shower, and vanity areas. Indian Paintbrush sits off by itself to the northwest of the central meadow and is ideal for small, self-contained groups.

Kinnikinik

Sleeps 12

Kinnikinik is a self-contained cabin on the upper side of the central meadow, with a full kitchen and separate dining room. It has a carpeted living room with a wood-burning fireplace, a master bedroom with ensuite bath, and two additional carpeted bedrooms with a shared bathroom in the hall. There is also an outside deck overlooking the wooded grounds.

Yurts

Each yurt sleeps 12

Yurts are traditional portable housing from the steppes of Mongolia. Ours are updated versions made of wood and canvas, each furnished with 6 bunk beds. They are built on wooden platforms and scattered through the forest near the Ben Smith Activity Center. There are windows and a skylight for ventilation and climate control. The yurts are seasonal accommodations, available from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

The yurt area is served by a central bathhouse with toilet, shower ,and sink facilities. There is also a separate handicap accessible bathroom, and one of the yurts is set up for handicap access.
