
La Foret boasts a variety of lodging accomodations; each named after the flora found throuhgout our forest. All of the cabins have a common area, bedrooms, and bathrooms.
Yucca and Tannenbaum cabins each have a wood-burning fireplace, a large common living area with hardwood floors, four carpeted bedrooms, and two bathrooms. Tannenbaum is handicap-accessible and ADA approved. Both cabins are located on the lower side of the Meadow.

The coziest of La Foret’s cabins, Sage and Prickly have wood-burning fireplaces and hardwood floors in their common areas, two bathrooms, and four carpeted bedrooms. Sage is located on the lower side of the Meadow, Prickly Pear is located on the upper side of the Meadow, behind the Dining Hall.

Willow has a wood-burning stove and hardwood floors in its large common area that looks out onto the Meadow. There are six carpeted bedrooms and two bathrooms and a separate toilet. Willow is located on the lower side next to Inglis Hall.

Aspen and Columbine cabins each have a large common living space with a wood-burning fireplace and hardwood floors, four carpeted bedrooms, and two bathrooms. Both cabins are located on the upper road above the Meadow.

Kinnikinnick is a “self-contained” cabin on the upper side of the Meadow with a full kitchen and dining room. It has a carpeted living room with a wood-burning fireplace, a master bedroom with ensuite bath, and two additional carpeted bedrooms with a shared bath in the hall. There is also as outside deck overlooking the wooded grounds. Kinnikinnick has the option of being “self-contained”, where groups cook their own meals or taking meals through La Foret’s dining services.

Two bedrooms with two sets of bunk beds
One of the largest cabins at La Foret, Indian Paintbrush boasts a large carpeted common area with wood-burning stove and a full kitchen with separate dining room. The cabin has four carpeted bedrooms, two bathrooms with separate toilet/showers, and vanity areas. Indian Paintbrush sits off by itself to the northwest of the Meadow making it ideal for small, self contained families or groups. Indian Paintbrush has the option of being “self-contained”, where groups cook their own meals or taking meals through La Foret’s dining services.

Yurts are traditional portable housing units that were used by the nomads of Mongolia and across Asia. Ours are updated versions made of wood and canvas each furnished with six sets of bunk beds. They are built on wooden platforms and scattered through the forest near the Ben Smith Activity Center, in an area known as Yurt Village. There are windows and a skylight in each yurts for ventilation and climate control. The yurts are seasonal accomodations, typically available May through September.
Yurt Village is served by a central bathhouse with toilet, shower, and sink facilities. The building is heated. There is a also a separate handicap accessible bathroom; one yurt is set up for handicap access.
