La Foret founded the MeadowGrass Music Festival in 2009 for the dual purposes of raising funds for preservation of it’s 429 acres of majestic forest and historical buildings and encouraging the greater Colorado Springs community to experience and enjoy this peaceful enclave in a fast-growing suburb where open spaces are becoming increasingly rare.  MeadowGrass is a true partnership bringing the best in Roots, Bluegrass, Americana, Cowboy, Folk and Acoustic music in a spectacular outdoor setting for young and old alike.

The Fifth Annual
MeadowGrass Music Festival
Memorial Day Weekend
Friday May 24th through Sunday May 26th

This is a family friendly event (no charge for children under 12) and each year we are excited to see increased attendance, more bands, and new arts & crafts vendors.
MeadowGrass highlights new local, regional & national bands.
Each year we have added additional musical acts increasing from 10 in 2009 to 24 in 2013.
Many of the bands involved have direct connections to the Colorado Springs area while MeadowGrass is bringing new musical acts to the Front Range for the first time.
Live recordings from the Festival can be found on FestivaLink.net where several sets are amongst the top 5 sales nationally.
KRCC broadcasts live recordings of the MeadowGrass performances on Wednesday afternoons to great response.
